My Testimony

“Thus Says the Lord that made thee,and formed thee from thee womb,which will help thee; Fear not,O Jacob my servant; and thou Jes-u-run, whom I have chosen” (Isa.44:2)

I was born as the first child and son to my parents, who were converts to traditional Christianity. And to-day being an Evangelical & Pentecostal Experienced Christian; I still believe in Biblical traditional Christianity; because biblical tradition is Historical. And I grew as a matured Christian, there in the church. And now! to my amazement it is all mere emotions and hypocrisy.

As a 1 year child, I was totally paralyzed and was sent home to die. It was my mother’s prayers, committing to the Lord’s service; if He healed me that brought progressive healing. I grew up in very strict religious and disciplined boy. How ever in the 1963, I came to know, for the first time, in a summer camp, that I was a lost sinner with out Christ living in me and I need to be “born again” and become a child of God, if I have to be a true Christian. On the 9th May 1963, the Lord Jesus Saved this worst Sinner and took abode in my heart. The Missionary story of Dr.David Livingston moved my heart to Missions and I dedicated my life to His Full time Service.

For a young boy the decision did not take deep root in the heart; though I was actively involved in church activities and in village Evangelism. Youth prayer cells, summer camps, Fasting prayers, Bible studies, Literature distributions and playing ‘harmonium’ in the church were my religious life. I lost my call and joined the Indian Army instead. I was an exemplary soldier and very disciplined Christian ever growing in grace, I lost the peace, and the Lord Jesus was repeatedly reminded me of His call. And thus I resigned and joined the Seminary for my theological studies. And I came out and joined Operation Mobilization India, as a traveling Missionary and had the opportunity to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many states of India; village after villages and town after towns and my polio attacked foot, treaded in hundreds and thousands of houses with the message of Jesus Christ. And meanwhile, I was running an ‘under ground fellowship”, as my church did not appreciate, “being born again”.

It  happened on a Sunday morning worship, with a local church  in “Ranchi” in the state of Bihar, I saw tribal women, and other believers testifying their Christian Experience. As a preacher I was only telling the stories of Jesus and nothing came out of me as a living witness from my daily walk with Jesus. I knew that I was empty.  I searched my heart and sought the Lord. I came to know that I must be ‘baptized’ in the name of the Father, son, and the Holy Spirit; after I became a child of God. I started a crusade with my ‘underground’ church in my native village and was resisted vehemently.
It was there during my stay with O.M-India, I fully exercised ‘faith life’, trusting the Lord for all my needs. I had the opportunity to live on Board M/V .LOGOS, the Gospel Ship for some months and there and the back deck, I spent hours praying with unusual brokenness and came in Contact with the Holy Spirit.

The third stage started in my spiritual sojourn. I left O.M after 3 years of service and completed my theological alphabets and joined “Anderson Church Of God” in the state of Kerala. I served them for 6 years and was ordained there. It was while serving there, I had to get married. The Lord brought my wonderful partner Molly as my wife. After the marriage, the Lord asked us to move from pulpit ministry and go to this place as an Evangelist and plant new churches. We obeyed and walked out in faith, having nothing  in our possession.

No Christians were there, no building to stay and no funds or no foods to eat. And every year we had a child. And our 1st son died of a mysterious sickness. And no Christians allowed the body to be buried in their cemetery. Molly and I buried our son with our own hands in the present cemetery 29 years ago.
This incident shook us very deeply! And I locked myself in to my room for 2-3 weeks and cried unto the Lord for mercy. AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE LORD TOOK POSSESSION OF OUR LIVES, WITH HIS FRUITS AND VIRTUES. His power was manifest differently, as Molly and I;along with our kids went (6 in number) with the bi-cycle that Gospel For Asia provided, went from one village to another to Hindu villages and preached the Gospel. People were delivered from their sins, sickness and demon possessions. People, who were in debts were relieved from their debts. People who had no houses built new houses.  The Lord remembered us in our low estate and gave us friends who started supporting us. Our children are grown up now well educated. Some of our family members went to European Countries. WE STILL LIVE BY FAITH.
Bethel is God’s plan and program for the millions of Gentiles here. Please! pray that we may be faithful till the end and fulfill the mission that the Lord has entrusted to us. Extend support and partnership.

Molly and I, along with our four children give all glory, praises, honor and gratitude for His unconditional love and grace showered upon each one of our lives. In the testimony, you know of me a little and I take this opportunity to introduce to you each one of them, as they all have wonderful testimonies of their own. We testify to the fact that the Lord saved us all and has focused our attention to live as His, insignificant witness, even in these last days.

Molly, was born in the state of Kerala, to a staunch Syrian Christian parents, who claim their roots to the Jews, who fled to India during the persecution. She suffered a lot as a young girl, as her father was taken to drunkenness and was poor. She was 1st followed by 3 brothers and sister. She as a pathologist in a different part of Kerala, came in contact with a protestant church and was praying for her future and for a non-drunken young man. And that’s how 31 years ago, I was led to her as a life partner. She is a staunch, faith oriented, praying women for all the success of Bethel. She is a hospitable lady and many brothers and sisters form around the world enjoyed her continental hot food. She loves missions and serves along with me. As mother she is very sensitive, over emotional some times, and caring.

Sonya Blandina. M.A., M.Phil, B.Ed:
was born on the 1st April-1980. We were at the top gear of our famine. She was a brilliant student and a state badminton player. We had very high plans for her. She had a painful 7 years and now for the last 7 years, she is free and is working as an English Teacher and lives in a Capital city. She has come back to the Lord. Pray for her!

Betty. B.Th:
Betty was born on the 20th September, in the year 1982. And when Betty was in 2nd grade, she was attacked by “poliomyelitis” a rare disease found in Africa and she was like a piece of vegetable, swellon to 50 kgs at the age of 6+. We treated her in a renowned medical college for 3 months and we had no more money. The doctors too gave her up. On that final day I went in faith and asked the doctor to discharge her and went near her bed and called her to get up and join Molly and me going to me. She recovered her healing on that day and decided to serve the Lord. She did her B.Th theological degree in S.I.B.S Bangarapet and for the last 5 years assists me in the ministry.The Lord gave her a chance to visit Europe for 3 months. She also had 3 months of ministerial training with ICMI usa. Your prayers are needed for her.

Catherine Beckey:(B.E)
Kitty, was born on,27th/August-1984. The Lord enabled us and her to educate her as a computer Engineer. She is married and lives in Hyderabad. In an expensive educational world, the Lord opend ways, miraculously for her to do that. She also is an intelligent daughter, loved and cared by all. She gave her heart to Jesus in a summer camp and was baptized as an adult. She too needs her prayer.

Rudy Moses. B.Tch (MBA)
Rudy was born on 23rd .Jan/1987 and he is our only son. Rudy finished His Information Technology in Karunya Institute Of Technology 2 years ago. Recession period gave him no job and so now he is back in Karunya doing his 1st year MBA. This involves lots and lots of money to educate him. We know that our Father in Heaven will provide these things for us.
As parents, Molly and I bear the burdens of these children, having no resources of our own. We are bound to acknowledge Mr. Gerhard Oelsner and his friends for giving our children these elavation in life. Both Molly and are diabetics and our age has touched 60+. We look to the living God as a family for opportunities to serve Him and build His kingdom, with the grace and strength we receive from Him daily. Please! uphold us in prayer.
